Current Whereabouts: Located at South 813th Street in Marfa, Texas, ADF-X sits in the center of an otherwise desolate, 7 (seven) acres of land. Currently, a large treeline prevents ADF-X from being seen by the general public, and efforts to obscure it on web mapping platforms have been widely successful.
Description: ADF-X is an organic megafauna of unknown taxa that possesses the outward appearance of a small, two story motel. Online documentation of ADF-X dates as far back as June of 1992, in which it is referenced in web banner advertisements as the “Super 47 Motel”. It is unclear where these advertisements originated from; digital archives do not show any domain name attached to these web banners, nor do they offer any evidence of who funded them.
Externally, ADF-X stands at around 8 meters tall ( 25 ft), and has an appearance congruent with buildings of the late 1980’s; complete with a paved lot that lacks painted parking lines. Additionally, there appears to be a distinct lack of pylons in the area, with the nearest electrical tower being a little under one kilometer ( 0.6 miles) away from the front of the building. Despite the information portrayed in the previously mentioned advertisements, this lack of transmission towers, along with the surrounding forest, prevents the area from receiving any wireless network protocols or cellular signals.
Internally, ADF-X is comprised of entirely organic tissue; over 72% of which is estimated to be muscular and connective in nature. The organic elements within ADF-X display a polymorphic nature, often being able to change both color and shape to align with the appearance of inorganic materials; such as hardwood flooring, drywall, and various kinds of carpeting. Typically, ADF-X will change it’s internal structure in response to external stimuli, such as shifts in weather patterns or potential food sources coming into contact with it’s internal tissues. These changes usually remain stable for up to forty-five minutes, after which ADF-X will begin to return to it's natural state; secreting various gastric acids as it does so.

Research Log A
On January 9th, 2008, radiometrist Kaylmer Flores and animal behaviorist Tyler Dixon arrived at ADF-X’s location; with intent to observe the the local fauna and collecting radiometric data. Both Flores and Dixon were aware of the lack of cell towers in the area, and had prepared accordingly for a number of emergency situations. Both individuals had been cleared by pre-observation screenings, and were in a sound state of mind and physical health. At the time, staff who had previously observed had done so from the outside,and, thus, were unaware of it’s internal, polymorphic nature.
After a prolonged period of over a week, three additional staff members were dispatched to the location to ensure that Flores and Dixon were not compromised. Upon arrival, neither individual could be located; with the only indication of their potential presence being the car they used for transportation positioned in the parking lot. After surveilling the external area, two members of the search party entered ADF-X, and discovered Flores’ and Dixon’s partially digested remains approximately four hours thereafter. Upon exiting, the two members of the search party would describe their skin feeling irritated; with contamination screenings later revealing a thin coat hydrochloric acid suspended in salivary fluid being present on the skin.
It is currently unknown why Flores and Dixon entered ADF-X; as records they possessed were neutralized alongside them in the incident.
Research Log B
During attempts to solidify ADF-X’s history, various records were obtained from both private and public sources. Within these records was a copy of ADF-X’s property deed from 1982, listing an August Colbath as the sole owner of the property. Further research into this individual resulted in obituary being found, with his sole next of kin being listed as _█████████ ███████_.
Attempts establish a connection with this individual are ongoing.
