Licensing and Citation Overhaul

Overview

On July 29, 2026, a mass, site-wide editing overhaul was conducted by AmperscapeAmperscape in order to add licensing and citation information where needed. This also included verifying that all images were compliant with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License.

The following document is complete list of the pages that were edited, along with relevant information.

If you are the author of one of these pages and your article is displayed in a red box, please visit the discussion forums on your article to view what changes need to be made.

If your article is on this page but is not contained in a red box, no further actions are required.

Determining Factors

For Writing/Text Based Articles

By default, the author of an article is assumed to be the first user to post the individual article/page's unique source text. This is determined by looking at early page revisions in any given page's history, as WikiDot automatically records this information. Future edits by staff or other members of the site are not credited for the creation of the article, and collaborators are credited based off of publicly available information in a page's discussion forum (if applicable).

For Images

In an attempt to validate all media, images were run through reverse image search engines. If the image was obtained from an external source that is not compliant with CC BY-SA 3.0, it was removed and a courtesy notice was placed in the discussion forum of the article.

Validated media that was original or otherwise derived from an internal source was left in place. A courtesy notice was placed in the discussion forum of the article requesting the author to add their image sources and/or release their media under a compatible copyright type.

Do note that the author using original media in their article does not automatically release it under a compatible copyright type. The original creator of the image must explicitly state that they are allowing it to be used on the Anomaly Data Room Wiki and that it is being released under a compatible copyright type. Should an author not do so, the images will need to be removed until a solution is found, or the issue is resolved. This will require a secondary edit to the effected pages, of which can be conducted outside of this preliminary overhaul.

Page Edit Logs

NOTE:
Pages flagged with red boxes currently house original, non compliant images. They are awaiting proper/official copyright designation from the author/creator of the image itself. Once the appropriate changes have been made, the red flag will be removed, and no further action is required.
