My name is Pan. If you call me ADF-X I'm not going to listen to you :/1
Danger Class: Gula
Obscurity Class: Hexa
Sub Class: Aliquam
Current Whereabouts: Current member of Anomaly Retrieval and Transfer Team █████. Living quarters located at Transfer Facility #██ with regular visits from Collection Site #██ researchers.
So many censors… It's not as ominous as it sounds, mostly it's pretty boring.2
Description: ADF-X is a young adult human in their early 20s3 who appears completely plain and ordinary,4 with a slightly short androgynous stature and typically wearing dark, baggy clothing. When introduced to other anomalies, they've exhibited a resistance to memetic effects and cognitohazards, ranging from complete immunity to experiencing a lesser effect than non-anomalous people. This appears to be dependent on how "based in reality" an anomaly is. In other terms, the more realistic an anomalous effect behaves, the less resistant ADF-X will be to it. This has been useful in retrieving other anomalies, hence their current employment.5
Not like I had a choice. It was that or be locked up in a gilded cage somewhere :/ I like my freedom, thanks!
After further interaction post-collection, it was discovered that ADF-X also passively draws in other anomalies. The way they come into contact always appears to be coincidental, such as receiving an anomalous e-mail from an unknown sender,6 or finding a haunted doll while browsing a thrift store.7 However, after repeated discovery of new ADFs, it becomes apparent that this is not the case. This is likely a large contributing factor to Anomaly Retrieval and Transfer Team █████'s high anomaly discovery and retrieval success rates.
ADF-X was discovered8 by the ADR during the collection of a large number of anomalies located at █████ ██████████ College in █████████. A majority of these anomalies were found in ADF-X's possession, yet they were unaffected by the effects of these objects. ADF-X was collected with initial resistance from the anomaly, though provided little issues for the collection team. Those related with or close to ADF-X were investigated for similar anomalous traits, to no results.9
