ADF-39's Current Location.
File #: ADF-39
Danger Class: Gula
Obscurity Class: Hexa
Sub Class: Eleutheria
Current Whereabouts: Located in Colorado, the opening basin fluxes between 17.8 Square Miles and 18.6 Square Miles.
Description:
ADF-39 appears to be a large organic vertical cave system extending up to 40 miles or more into the Earth's crust. ADF-39, as of currently means of humanity's technology, is uncontainable due to its immense size and location within the Earth's crust. It expands and contracts as it breathes, and sulfur and oxygen are extremely abundant within its interior atmosphere and around it, as air from its birth period was rich in Oxygen and Sulfur.
ADF-39-1 is the cave itself, consisting of an estimated internal volume exceeding 18,000 cubic miles of internal space. ADF-39-2 regards to the ecosystem that has grown to use ADF-39-1 as a separate world, and have adapted to living inside ADF-39-1.
Timeline of events:
~260,000,000 - 275,000,000 years ago, ADF-39-1 was born and a few centuries after its birth, it entered the mantle, submerging itself underground. To date, we lack information on how it moves.
On June 28th, ████ the hole, now known as the entrance of ADF-39-1, opened up in a remote area of Colorado, not very far from Ouray. Multiple people, vehicles, terrain, and even settlements or buildings fell into the opening and the earthquake caused by it measured a 5.4 on the Richter Scale.
As of February 3rd, ████, complex infrastructure constructed by ADR has been set up as Containment Facility 39, albeit this Facility is mainly a forward research base for researching instances of ADF-39-2.

Research Logs:
Research from Containment Facility 39 has been extensively done into ADF-39-1. ADF-39-1's species has been dubbed The Permian Siphon-Monolith, or Aethelopyle permiana-magmaticus. Through DNA sampling and testing, ADR Researchers determined ADF-39-1 to be about 260,000,000 - 275,000,000 years old, being born around the Late Guadalupian stage of the Permian Period.
ADF-39-1's Inhabitants share only extremely far ancestry with surface animals and plants, suggesting ADF-39-1 either had bacterium evolve into these creatures, or more likely, some sort of bacteria or microorganism entered ADF-39-1 during its time in the Earth's Mantle, as ADF-39-2 all seem to have the same common ancestor.
During the initial collapse of the crust during ADF-39-1's surfacing, a large amount of air was released from ADF-39-1, notably with high O2 and high sulfur contents. More of this air is expelled every time ADF-39-1's expands.
Additionally, the Aethelopyle permiana-magmaticus species has not given definitive proof it is endangered or extinct, as other members of the species could be living the mantle. There is no proof of this either.
Rough Drawing of Facility 39 made by Facility Director Kaklinski.
Current Whereabouts:
Containment Facility is located in the suspected lungs of ADF-39-1, roughly 23.1 miles into The Permian Siphon-Monolith.
Layout:
Facility 39 is meant for long term stay and to be constantly manned, thus, it has a large amount of sectors for different uses.

Picture of Facility Director Kaklinski.
Facility Director Kaklinski is a 32 year old man who has been working at Facility 39 for 4 years and 2 months. Facility Director Kaklinski does not like running Facility 39, he keeps requesting a transfer. ADR, for unknown reasons, keeps denying this request. Facility Director Kaklinski has gone mad over this, and wants to detonate multiple Nuclear Weapons inside ADF-39-1 to "End His Suffering" as he says. Despite his setbacks, Facility Director Kaklinski is a master of survival, creative thinking, and general math. Under his leadership, research of ADF-39-2 has… somewhat thrived if you look at it right. Apart from his extensive achievements before and at Facility 39. Despite this, Facility Director Kaklinski seems to hate his job. To attempt to counteract this, he is paid handsomely at ~$100,000/month, or ~$1,200,000/year. Facility Director Kaklinski stated "The pay is the only reason I work this shitty job" which suggests our counteract was successful.
